Annoucement New investment BOPP & BOPE

Polivouga has invested in a hybrid BOPP and BOPE Brückner Line with an annual capacity of 54,000 tons.

We are strongly committed, together with our customers and raw material suppliers, to the continuous development of solutions aimed at optimizing and improving recyclability, as well as reducing the ecological footprint of flexible food packaging. We are especially focused on providing solutions with regard to incompatible multi-layer flexible film structures, thereby meeting the principles of the circular economy.

Our recent developments:

Zapphir BOPP film BioXpand, dual-purpose films that are both recyclable and biodegradable. This solution maintains the recyclability of BOPP within a predetermined lifespan and adds biodegradable properties to the film if it is lost in the environment.

Helix BOPE film is a biaxially oriented polyethylene, which represents the solution for achieving a monomaterial structure made entirely of polyethylene, when the mechanical properties of different incompatible substrates are required when recycled simultaneously. Helix BOPE film offers high rigidity, high transparency, low turbidity and unique tear properties.

Zapphir BOPP film ChemR & Helix BOPE film ChemR represent our latest ranges of chemically recycled products, which are ISCC Plus certified and are a huge step forward in achieving more sustainable solutions for flexible packaging.

In order to strengthen and further develop our current portfolio of solutions, Polivouga has invested in a state-of-the-art Brückner hybrid BOPP & BOPE stretching line that will allow for an additional annual capacity of 54,000 tons. This new line will start up in January 2022 and will enable us to meet the growing demand from our customers and the market for more sustainable packaging solutions.
